DyeMansion German Accelerator Tech
Post-processing solution provider, DyeMansion is heading to the West Coast of the United States after winning the German Accelerator Tech program's Hardware Round.
The German Accelerator Tech program is an imitative that looks to support German start-ups and ensure an easy transition into the US market. Access to outstanding mentors, office space in Silicon Valley and New York, and valuable connections is awarded to up and coming businesses emerging from Germany.
Founded in 2013, then under the name ‘Trindo’, DyeMansion offers automated manufacturing solutions for production facilities which house laser sintering technology. After developing a solution which maintained colour dyes on consumer products, the company changed its name to ‘DyeMansion’.
From July, DyeMansion will begin to offer its industrial solutions for the post-processing and colouring of powder-based additive manufactured plastics to the US market from a Silicon Valley base.
“We are delighted to have the unique opportunity of getting to know Silicon Valley,” said Felix Ewald, CEO of DyeMansion. “In addition to the many established start-ups, big corporations such as HP and BMW have their development labs there. The German Accelerator program will help us settle down quickly and hopefully make the first correct choices.”
DyeMansion see next week’s RAPID+TCT event as the launch of the company’s presence in the United States. From Booth #1413 DyeMansion will co-exhibit with EOS North America, presenting the US version of its DM60 dyeing machine. EOS founder Dr Hans J. Langer invested in the company using his status as a business angel in 2015.
With operation from the Silicon Valley base due to commence in July, DyeMansion has confirmed a second US location will be announced in the autumn of 2017. Work from the company’s already-existing Munich location is set to continue, just as the support from the German Accelerator Tech program will.
German Accelerator Tech is financed by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, which, among other services, enables German start-ups to hit the ground running overseas, with financial assistance allowing each business to develop fruitfully.
