EnvisionTEC
3D-Bioplotter
3D printing industry innovator EnvisionTEC has come home from the RAPID 2014 Conference in Detroit with the prestigious accolade of Best in Show.
This year's outing was the largest in the expo's 24-year history with more than 120 exhibitors showcasing the latest in additive manufacturing technology on the buzzing show floor packed with more than 5,000 of the world's 3D printing industry experts, but it was EnvisionTEC that stood out from the crowd.
Co-locating with The Big M and the International Manufacturing Research Conference, the SME's RAPID show is the world's longest-running 3D printing event and therefore marks a very important week in the industry's calendar.
SME's Rapid Technologies & Additive Manufacturing Community sponsored the Best in Show prize, which identifies the company with a winning stand for its interactivity, technical prowess and its aesthetics. Conference and show attendees received ballots with which to vote, and so EnvsionTEC's award was clinched by the popular vote, as exhibitors were exempt from casting their own votes.
On the EnvisionTEC stand this year, there was a wide range of 3D-printed samples covering a broad spectrum of applications and in particular medical and dental applications, including examples of its latest 3SP technology, the ULTRA 3SP and the Xede 3SP; the 3D-Bioplotter; and its popular Perfactory Micro family.
EnvisionTEC has been using its expertise on producing targeted and precise solutions for both medical and dental, with the popular 3D-Bioplotter drawing a crowd. As such, Head of the Tissue Engineering and Additive Manufacturing Lab at Northwestern University Dr Ramille Shah, gave a presentation at RAPID regarding her work with the 3D-Bioplotter during one of the medical conference tracks at RAPID.
So what's next for EnvisionTEC? The industry pioneer is set to exhibit TCT Show + Personalize this autumn. For the full exhibitor list and to learn more about the leading 3D printing, additive manufacturing and product development show in the UK, click here.
