German RepRap X350
The new 3D printer will launch at RAPID in 2015
German RepRap have been building and selling 3D printers for five years now; adding functionality and usability with each new iteration. From the early days of selling RepRap Prusa kits to the recent addition of the huge X1000 with a build area of 1000 x 800 x 600 mm, the Bavarian-based company has prided itself on building printers with German precision.
At RAPID next month, they are set to launch their most user-friendly and reliable printer to date – the X350. Priced at €2499 the printer is designed to meet the needs of industrial users and demanding consumers.
German efficiency is at the heart of the X350 with the manufacturers stating that the rectangular heated build platform utilises the space of the printer better than any other 3D printer on the market. Other highlights include an integrated web interface that allows operation over wired or wireless networks, the ability to print in a variety of materials including your standard PLA and ABS as well as newer materials like Bendlay and their recently launched Performance PLA.
German RepRap managing director Thomas Liratsch explains the strategy behind the new development: “The X350 closes the gap between the NEO and the X400. It offers the best usage of the print area due to the rectangular print bed. It also abides by the premise of a high-quality product “Made in Germany”
The German RepRap X350 3D printed will be debuted in public at RAPID, which will be held at Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, CA, May 18 – 21, 2015. German RepRap, booth #954.
