Stratasys Creative Colours
Stratasys launches Creative Colors Software.
Stratasys has announced it has taken a major step in the development of colour in 3D printing by partnering with software-giant Adobe on a new piece of dedicated software, Stratasys Creative Colors Software, that will simplify the design to 3D print workflow for creatives.
Powered by the Adobe 3D Color Print Engine, the software tool has been designed for use with its Objet Connex3 3D printing solutions, combining advanced colour management with a direct design-to-3D-print workflow.
Stratasys Creative Colors Software forms a direct bridge between Adobe Photoshop CC and Objet Connex3 by enabling designers to easily 3D print their creations without cumbersome 3D printing workflows. Stratasys Creative Colors features an enhanced colour experience including vibrant gradient colour palettes with expanded colour spectrums, improved textures and patterns support, as well as accurate, time saving colour previews. The inclusion of Stratasys Creative Colors currently makes the Objet Connex3 the only 3D printer series that benefits from Adobe Color Management and experience.
“With today’s announcement, Adobe Photoshop CC users can now directly access Stratasys Objet Connex3 3D printers – whether locally or through Stratasys Direct Manufacturing - and easily produce their designs with gorgeous gradient colour and fine details,” Adil Munshi, VP and GM, Print and Publishing Business Unit, Adobe, explained. “The combination of Adobe’s unmatched colour expertise with Stratasys’ multi-colour, multi-material 3D printing is a true game-changer for the creative design industry.”
Adobe and Stratasys have each been making significant strides in the advancement of colour in the 3D space. Back in October, the two embarked on a joint effort to eliminate the barriers and bring colour 3D printing expertise to the creative market. One of the biggest outcomes from this collaboration was the ability for Adobe Photoshop CC users to send their 3D files for production via Stratasys Direct Express powered by Stratasys Direct Manufacturing. Today’s announcement signals the first time Photoshop CC users can send colourful 3D files directly to Stratasys Direct Manufacturing for Objet Connex3 3D printing.
New software designed to streamline workflow.
“Partnering with Adobe, a world leader in creative software products, aligns with Stratasys’ vision to make the color 3D printing experience as simple, powerful and rewarding as possible. The integration of Objet Connex3 with Stratasys Creative Colors Software and the resulting explosion of color possibilities is an important milestone in fulfilling this vision,” Dan Yalon, EVP Business Development, Strategy and Vertical Solutions, Stratasys, added. “Furthermore, our relationship with Adobe not only continues to push the envelope of 3D printed realism, it also promotes our goal to make 3D printing more accessible, bringing enhanced colour solutions to new important communities, such as Adobe’s creative designers.”
