Metal additive manufacturing and 3D software specialist, Sigma Labs has signed a commercial agreement with Pratt & Whitney, a manufacturer in the aerospace and defence sectors.
A unit of United Technologies Corp., Pratt & Whitney will utilise Sigma Labs’ PrintRite3D software, along with participation in the company’s Early Adopter Program. Since its launch last year, the Early Adopter Program has served to accelerate use of PrintRite3D’s quality assurance applications for 3D printing. Notable participants include Siemens, Spartacus3D, Woodward, Additive Industries, and now Pratt & Whitney.

PrintRite3D is an integrated, interactive system that combines inspection, feedback, data collection and critical analysis. The system pairs SENSORPAK multi-sensors and hardware with INSPECT, CONTOUR and ANALYTICS software modules for comprehensive management of additive manufacturing processes.
