SLM Solutions' PSA 500 on Booth
The PSA 500 automatic recovery system took pride of place on SLM Solutions' beach-themed stand.
SLM Solutions unveiled its latest developments at booth D86 in hall 11 during Euromold today — the new system for materials recovery PSA 500.
Dr. Markus Rechlin, CEO of SLM Solutions GmbH explained: "We see ourselves as a pioneer and trendsetter in the manufacturing technology for many industries from automotive and mechanical engineering to medicine-up to the air and space technology. We will surprise this year the industry with a new development. With the PSA 500, our system for automatic powder recovery, we go one step further in the additive manufacturing."
The PSA 500 operates autonomously meaning that the entire unused powder from the SLM process is moved from the build chamber through a discharge station for vibrating screens conditioning. Coupled with the seiving ultrasound unit a very fine grain size and a higher yield can be ensured. The seiving process has no influence on the parallel construction processes and reduces unproductive downtime.
In addition to the new developments Stefan Ritt, Sales and Marketing Manager of SLM Solutions GmbH, will present on 5 December 2013 at 10.30 clock in the design + engineering lecture forum in Hall 11.0 Stand F 68 with his lecture, “Increasing productivity through new multi-laser SLM systems for metals” the fair offer and gives a deeper insight into the current state in the generative manufacturing technology and developments for production.
