Pioneer in the design and production of additive manufacturing equipment SLM Solutions has welcomed new members to its management team.
The company, which is headquartered in Luebeck, has been showing continuous growth for years through innovation, smart and leading technologies and engineering for demanding customers and has announced the expansion of its team of top-level decision-makers to ensure the organisation's continued rise and success.
Dr Markus Rechlin and Uwe Bögershausen will join the management board of SLM Solutions with immediate effect. Dr. Rechlin joins the team as the CEO and Uwe Bögershausen as CFO. Hans J. Ihde, the known CEO for many years will take the new role as Executive Chairman. Henner Schöneborn, Director and Executive Vice President, will continue as Sales Director and EVP in the management team.
In 2002, SLM Solutions began to bring metal additive manufacturing technology into the global marketplace and as established and maintained a leading position in this sector to the present day.
The business's growing customerbase includes such household names as General Electric, BMW, NASA, Alstom and Siemens and to grow with this continual rapid expansion in the market SLM Solutions has increased the shop floor level for production by 600 sq m. This has led to a total of more than a 1,000 sq m increase in production facilities at the company's German base.
Moreover, to establish direct presence in the growing international additive manufacturing marketplace, SLM Solutions has set up a new base in Michigan, the manufacturing heartland of the US.
