Felix3D Printers
Aside from teaming up with TCT on the 3D Printing Marketplace at the 2015 International CES, leading 3D printing solutions provider, Materialise has been busy working on build processors to simplify the 3D printing process for several prominent 3D printer manufacturers.
The latest of these collaboration arrives in the form of FELIXrobotics BV, creator of the FELIX FDM 3D printer, a machine capable of producing high quality prints for the office, educational and industrial environments.
The Felix Builder, which combines Materialise’s Build Processor with a user-friendly front-end solution, makes printing easier than ever and will now be bundled with every FELIX machine.
The software acts in a similar way to 2D printer drivers for standard inkjet printing by improving communication throughout the print process. The straightforward user interface from the FELIX Builder means that complicated functions are simplified for the FELIX 3.0 3D printers.
By adjusting settings based on pre-set or custom-made profiles, users can go from STL file to printing all in one program offering unprecedented control over prints and a streamlined printing process.
Fitting in line with FELIXrobotics’s mission to improve the standard of desktop 3D printers, the Felix Builder makes the printers even easier to create high-quality prints, bringing 3D printing to a wider range of users.
Materialise has already developed similar build processors for Concept Laser and SLM Solutions and will continue to release more with future partners from the consumer to industrial sectors.
