Materialise has entered into a development partnership with Dutch metal additive manufacturing company, Additive Industries to create a customised version of its build processor software.
Materialise has been building partnerships with established machine manufacturers to bridge the gap between 3D software and a wide range of 3D printers. So far the Belgian additive manufacturing leader has developed machine-specific build processors for high-profile names like Renishaw, SLM Solutions, EOS and Concept Laser. Their latest partner is Additive Industries, a new player in the Additive Manufacturing market that focuses on a variety of industries: aerospace, automotive, medical, high-tech equipment, and more. Armed with improved reproducibility, productivity, and flexibility, Additive Industries will offer a modular 3D metal printing system to high-end and demanding industrial markets.
This month, Additive Industries is launching its own integrated metal additive manufacturing system, the MetalFAB1. Equipped with automated build plate handling and in-line heat treatment, MetalFAB1 will allow Additive Industries to redefine the metal 3D metal printing industry.
The Additive Industries Build Processor will simplify the 3D printing process for users of the MetalFAB1 machine. The powerful and user-friendly software will facilitate the communication of data to the machine and will provide users with a clear overview of their print jobs. Its state-of-the-art, slicing algorithm with help users to handle large design files.
Additive Industries will present its first industrial 3D metal printing system at formnext powered by tct in Frankfurt, next month. This will be the world premiere of the anticipated additive manufacturing system and will take place at the international exhibition and conference on additive technologies on 17-20th November in Hall 3 of the Frankfurt exhibition centre.
