TCT Awards
TCT Awards - The Trophies
The inaugural TCT Awards took place on 27th September 2017 at Birmingham Town Hall, Birmingham UK. The night was dedicated to recognising and celebrating the innovators, technology and collaborators behind the best examples of 3D technology use across the globe.
TCT has always existed at the intersection of technology and applications, and the celebratory evening maintained this approach. The very best cases of these ground-breaking technologies are collaborative projects and the TCT Awards focused on recognising the partners in the projects from designers and engineers to the technology providers. Hosted by Robert Llewellyn, a British actor and presenter, the 285 guests celebrated into the early hours.

In addition to ten competitive award categories, the TCT Group launched the prestigious and coveted TCT Hall of Fame to recognise the pioneers and innovators in 3D technologies who have made the most significant contributions to the technologies and their applications.
“It was a privilege to share the evening with so many truly exceptional people, all of the winners are to be congratulated for their success, and of course, in particular, the inductees to the Hall of Fame need a special mention. Without them the industry would be a much less exciting place; their innovation, entrepreneurship and commitment has paved the way for us all to follow. Recognising their contribution to society in this way was important, and our position in the sector enabled us to do this.
I must also thank our sponsors SLM Solutions, Somos, Materialise and 3ecruit, as well as our supporting partner, Innovate UK for their support. All awards entrants and of course the TCT Expert Advisory Board for leading the judging process deserve enormous credit; they all helped turn a good idea into a night to remember, and starting something we will now make an annual celebration of the fantastic advances being made by 3D technologies.” - Duncan Wood, CEO of Rapid News Publications Ltd
