German RepRap RAPID 2017
German RepRap presenting its latest 3D printing technology at RAPID+TCT 2017.
German RepRap is treating RAPID+TCT attendees with a live presentation of its new Liquid Additive Manufacturing (LAM) technology.
The company, founded in 2010, is wanting to promote 3D technology to entrepreneurs present at the event. Its LAM technology, launched at formnext powered by tct in 2016, enables the printing of liquids like silicones, which is being demonstrated from Booth #623. German RepRap is also showcasing a 3D printer farm consisting of four X350 3D printers and their ability to support a range of materials.
“We can see a fundamental rethinking process in the minds of the entrepreneurs,” said Florian Bautz, Managing Director of German RepRap GmbH. “More and more it is considered whether additive production can be used instead of the injection moulding and milling processes. The new Liquid Additive Manufacturing technology is a revolution in 3D printing and will strongly influence this rethinking in a positive sense. We can say it is the beginning of a new age, since there has been no comparable technology anywhere in the world.”
German RepRap believe the benefits of this technology is clear. Current machines can be further used and upgraded with new technologies, such as German RepRap’s 3D printers. This saves costs by reducing the amount of programming or tooling required. Company’s also benefit from a high degree of flexibility and faster production, according to German RepRap.
“We are definitely changing,” Bautz added. “3D printing will play a very important role in tomorrow’s production. In particular, in the area of serial production, the technology is becoming increasingly interesting and is already being used in the automotive industry.”
German RepRap will be presenting its 3D printing technology to RAPID+TCT attendees until 11th May from Booth #623.
