OR Laser's new direct metal additive manufacturing platform, the ORLAS Creator
German laser solutions manufacturer, OR LASER has hailed the recent formnext powered by tct event a roaring success after receiving 43 direct pre-orders for its new ORLAS CREATOR metal 3D printer.
The compact machine, which made its debut during a press conference at the Frankfurt event, has been designed and developed specifically to provide a cost-effective, metal 3D printing for small and medium sized businesses with a competitive price point that amounts to half the cost of comparable machines on the market.
One of several manufacturers showcasing new metal additive technologies on the show floor, OR LASER has revealed that it received more than 250 definitive leads and 43 direct pre-orders across the four day event along with interest from more than 20 companies looking to distribute and resell the ORLAS CREATOR across the globe.
CEO of OR LASER, Uri Resnik commented: “We have been delighted with the market’s response to the ORLAS CREATOR. Following years of research and development we now know for sure that our hard work was completely worthwhile, and that the production of a smart, fully capable metal 3D printing system at an accessible price point for SMEs is exactly what the sector needs. We are looking forward to working with our new customers and developing new partnerships around the world.”
Following the show, OR LASER is ramping up its production capabilities, and still expects to start shipping the ORLAS CREATOR by the end of Q2 of 2017. Orders taken at formnext will be fulfilled by the end of 2017.
