Massivit 3D Printing Technologies has unveiled the Massivit 1500 Exploration large format additive manufacturing machine.
Following the successful launch of the Massivit 1800 machine in 2016, which led to some significant growth for the company, Massivit has sought to expand its portfolio. The 1500 platform will be debuted at ISA Sign Expo, a digital signage, graphics, print and communications industry show.
Available immediately, the machine is based on the company’s proprietary Gel Dispensing Printing technology. Massivit says it can produce lightweight, hollow pieces up to 1.45m, which can of course be assembled with other large structures to make ‘any size model or display.’ The 1800 machine that was launched in 2016 could print pieces up to 1.8m, and although smaller in build volume, the 1500 is still catering for print providers. Massivit believes its 3D printing systems are perfect for producing audience-engaging POP/ POS displays, illuminated signage and props, as well as high-endurance moulds for cost-effective thermoforming. These applications being most suitable in the retail, advertising, entertainment, events, and interior design markets.
One of the main benefits of the Massivit additive manufacturing platforms is the geometric freedom it offers to users. This helps to not only achieve a better quality of design, but also speed up phases of iteration, bringing down cost and time to market at the same time.
“The Massivit 1500 builds on the incredible global success of our flagship Massivit 1800 and further cements our position as a frontrunner of innovative solutions for next generation visual communication,” commented Avner Israeli, CEO of Massivit 3D. “ISA Sign Expo has proven to be very successful for us and we’re extremely excited to return with the landmark launch of the Massivit 1500. We expect that the market’s reaction will be very positive as we expand the accessibility of our trailblazing technology to a wider audience.”
Massivit will present the Massivit 1500 machine at Booth #629 at ISA Sign Expo, Orlando between March 22nd and March 24th, or at FESPA, Berlin, May 15th – 18th, Hall 1.1, Stand #A55.
