Met-L-Flo has announced it is the first North American service bureau to team up with Italian 3D printer manufacturer, Roboze.
Effective immediately, the 3D printing and rapid prototyping service provider plans to leverage the company's Roboze One+400 and materials to offer additional applications, particularly in the defence sector.
“The ability to use the Roboze high-temp materials and printers are exciting,” said Carl Dekker, President of Met-L-Flo. “We hope these materials will allow us to produce additional applications for our customers – we are especially excited to see where this takes AM in defence.”
With over 30 years in the business, Met-L-Flo provides additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities to a variety of industries such as aerospace, defence, medical and industrial, and also has several manufacturing certifications including AS 9100, ITAR and ISO 9000.
“We are proud to have Met-L-Flo join our team and our customers will benefit from the wide range of services and experience that Carl and his team have to offer,” said Ron Weavil, NA Territory Manager at Roboze Inc.
Roboze specialises specifically in the manufacture of AM solutions designed for applications in defence, space, aviation and manufacturing sectors. Their FFF (fused filament fabrication) machines use an advanced ''beltless system'', a patented mechanical moving system that uses a pinion to drive both the X and Y axes together with a ball screw on the Z axis.
“Our investment framework in the US is clear and that is why partners with great experience in traditional and additive manufacturing, such as Met-L-Flo, become of fundamental importance in the continued rapid growth of AM in the US,” said Alessio Lorusso, CEO and founder of Roboze. “Their background and their strong nature in research and development in the manufacturing world is consistent with our innovative spirit for resolving the needs of our final customers.”
