Nano Dimension has announced it will open a U.S. Customer Experience Center (CEC) in the Greater Los Angeles area in partnership with XponentialWorks, an additive manufacturing advisory company.
The new facility will be the second of several CECs set to be opened around the world as the company looks to drive the adoption of additive manufacturing for the development of electronics. These facilities will serve as customer and reseller training bases, and will be home to Nano Dimension’s sales support team.
Israel-based Nano Dimension is seeking to put to use its deep expertise and the marketplace access of XponentialWorks to grow its customer base and reseller network. The DragonFly 2020 Pro 3D Printer, which can print metal and polymer simultaneously and manufacture prototypes of professional circuit boards (PCB) and functional electronic circuits, will be installed at the California CEC. Customers and partners will thus be able to see how the machine is able to cut back on time and resources and simplify the typically complex PCB development workflow.
Founded in 2012, Nano Dimension has quickly sought to expand its presence in the additive manufacturing market globally. Its first CEC was established within its headquarters in Ness Ziona, Israel, but now the company has moved to establish new customers and new partners within North America.
“North America is one of the most important additive manufacturing markets,” said Amit Dror, CEO of Nano Dimension. “With the opening of our second CEC, we are making it possible for our customers to immediately access and work with our products first hand, so that out clients can experience how our printers can cut their design and manufacturing cycles and enhance their competitive advantage.”
Simon Fried, Chief Business Officer and Co-Founder of Nano Dimension, added: “As we grow our business across the United States, we couldn’t be happier to plug into the XponentialWorks ecosystem, and leverage their vast network to expand our sales support and training on the West Coast. We plan to immediately begin to host targeted events for marquee customers, hold reseller training and recruiting activities, and curate thought-leadership conferences designed to bring together a variety of relevant industries to experience the power and promise of additive manufacturing for electronics.”
XponentialWorks provides advisory services and venture investments to companies operating in 3D printing, autonomous mobility, robotics, and digital health. It was founded by Avi Reichental, former CEO of 3D Systems, who last week was announced as Co-Chairman of Nano Dimension. Pending the approval of the company’s shareholders, he will work alongside Itzhak Shrem.
“I am honoured to be invited to serve as Co-Chairman of Nano Dimension, the first and only company to deliver industrial strength 3D printed circuit boards and electrified geometries to the market convincingly,” Reichental commented. “I look forward to working closely with the entire leadership team so that together we can electrify additive manufacturing for the benefit of small and large businesses alike.”
