Stephan Rösler, CEO of Rösler Oberflächentechnik GmbH with Ramon Pastor, Interim Head of HP 3D Printing & Digital Manufacturing
At Formnext last week, Rösler’s additive manufacturing division AM Solutions announced a partnership with HP aimed at developing solutions to automate the post-processing of 3D printed parts.
The co-operation agreement intends to create a scalable post-processing workflow for HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology, promising a “new level of refinement and stability”.
Stephan Rösler, CEO of Rösler Oberflächentechnik GmbH said: “HP is an extremely valuable partner within our AM network. The cooperation allows us to further improve our automated post processing solutions and adapt them specifically to the Multi Jet Fusion technology from HP.”
As a specialist in post-processing technologies, AM Solutions offers automatic systems for unpacking, removal of support structures and residual powder, surface cleaning and smoothing, polishing and dyeing, all designed to ensure repeatability and sustainability.
Ramon Pastor, Interim Head of HP 3D Printing & Digital Manufacturing, commented: “This partnership is an important example of HPs’ commitment to collaborating with leaders in the industrial ecosystem to drive the digital transformation of manufacturing. The Rösler group offers comprehensive know-how in equipment building and surface finishing which is critical to production. We look forward to working together to broaden the opportunity for and accelerate mass production of applications across vertical industries.”
Furthermore, AM Solutions has installed one of HP’s new Jet Fusion 5200 Series printers in-house to expand its digital manufacturing capacity. With this printer, the company promises functional nylon prototypes and serial parts with high surface quality and fine feature details in just one day. In addition to printing capabilities, the service also provides design and engineering expertise along with post-processing and quality control.
