Custom Color 3D Printing installs two HP Jet Fusion 580 3D printers
Chicago-based additive manufacturing service provider, Custom Color 3D Printing has launched its full-colour AM service with HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology.
The company, which was founded last year, has installed two HP Jet Fusion 580 printers in a bid to deliver colour 3D printing to small businesses, for prototyping and low volume production runs.
Kent Mages, founder of Custom Color 3D Printing said he believes the start-up to be “one of the most innovative printing service companies in the US” making HP’s 3D printing technology accessible to small and mid-sized businesses.
Mages added: “Our HP 3D printers offer businesses a scalability that allows them to address very specific needs. This option to customise is a crucial factor in helping businesses grow and succeed.”
HP launched its 500/300 series machines last year to provide small to mid-sized product development teams, design firms and universities with a solution for full-colour, black or white printing with engineering-grade thermoplastic.
Custom Color 3D Printing says it believes the technology will be an ideal solution for customers wanting to produce in small batches such as rewards for crowdfunding campaigns, personalised products, full-colour architectural models, or even toys and collectibles.
In addition to machine’s from HP, the company’s hardware collection also includes desktop machines from MakerBot and RIZE, including its most recent full-colour XRIZE system.
