Sciaky EBAM 110 System
A Sciaky EBAM 110 System
Sciaky Inc., a metal additive manufacturing solutions provider, is to adopt Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) software products to support its EBAM solution.
EBAM, or Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing, is an industrial metal AM process that promises to make parts quickly with less material wastage. The technology was notably applied by Lockheed Martin to produce titanium propellant tanks for space satellites, making the shortlist for the TCT Aerospace Application Award 2017.
With the integration of PLM, Sciaky is set to advance its technology’s capabilities. The company believes it can now offer its current, and future, customers a solution that integrates with the same technology that they use every day. Together, EBAM and PLM will help users enhance the decision making behind product development, ultimately producing better results.
Siemens PLM is global provider of software solutions, that has previously been leveraged by the likes of Verashape, Stratasys, Frustum and Materialise. The business was established to drive digital transformation and open up new possibilities for manufacturers. Sciaky becomes the latest to utilise these new opportunities, able to use NX Software, a CAD/ CAM/ CAE solution, and NX Nastran, a CAE analysis solver technology, as part of its deal with Siemens PLM.
“Sciaky is excited to join Siemens PLM Software’s partner community,” said Bob Phillips, Vice President of Marketing at Sciaky. “The strength of our two organisations working together will deliver significant value to our customers.”
Vynce Paradise, Director of Advanced Part Manufacturing at Siemens PLM Software added: “Siemens PLM Software is committed to creating partnerships that can add value to the business of our customers. We are pleased to work with Sciaky as they use the latest multi-axis deposition technology we have developed within NX Software to support their EBAM 3D metal printing systems.”
