3D Systems plans to show additive manufacturing users how its technology can transform manufacturing workflows and optimise results at the 2016 Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) Conference in St. Louis, MO, April 3-7.
As a Diamond sponsor, the 3D printing frontrunner will showcase its diverse range of 3D technology solutions and services along with a program of in-depth discussions on the latest developments in additive manufacturing and digital design.

Taking place in the Midway Suite III of the St. Louis Union Station, one of the highlights of 3D Systems’ exhibition will be the SLAbot-2 technology demonstration. Powered by 3D Systems’ Figure 4 module, the SLAbot-2 in a fast, modular AM system conceived from the original Stereolithography (SLA) patent filed by the company’s Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Chuck Hull, in 1983. The SLAbot-2 is the second iteration of a Figure 4 demonstration, which was first shown at CES 2016 back in January, and highlights 3D Systems’ vision of additive manufacturing for unique products in an automated manufacturing environment.

In addition, the company will showcase high precision, high throughput Direct Metal Printing in titanium, stainless steel or nick super alloy on the ProX DMP 320. Attendees will also see the company’s range of production-grade SLA printing on the ProJet 6000 and ProX 800, Selective Laser Sintering on the ProX 500 for durable end-use parts and prototypes, twice as fast printing speeds on the ProJet MJP 3600 Series and office-friendly 3D printing on the ProJet MJP 2500 Series.
3D Systems’ team will also be on hand to discuss its on demand parts manufacturing, Quickparts and direct scan-to-CAD workflow integration with 3D Systems Capture and Geomagic Design X.
