3DP Unlimited, 3D printing company known for super-sized 3D printing, has announced it has evolved and rebranded itself at 3D Platform, a large-scale platform that will leverage the advantages of the open market.
The new open platform open market philosophy will provide engineers with the flexibility to access on-going advancements in hardware, materials and software in order to take advantage of innovation and developments as the industry grows.
3D Platform users will benefit from access to developments in material science including flexible, conductive, carbon-fibre, bronze and wood materials.
The large-scale 3DP printer features a build area of 1m x 1m x 0.5m and boasts accuracies down to a 70-micron layer resolution. The open platform advantage means 3DP has access to developments in extruder technology to give designers and engineers the ability to grow their additive manufacturing capabilities as technology evolves.
Users will also be able to take advantage of new software developments as they are released through the use of leading open market 3D printing software. Fast access to features such as detailed print previews, tool path analysis and advance print algorithms means users will experience faster print speeds and higher quality finished products.
By leveraging the open market, all of these areas work together to make industrial strength large format 3D printing accessible with a platform starting at under $20,000 and with operating costs 10x less than traditional systems.
Visitors to TCT Show + Personalize 2015 will be able to see the 3D Platform printer up close and learn more about its benefits. The event takes place on 30th September – 1st October at NEC, Birmingham. REGISTER FOR FREE HERE.
