Ceramics 3D printing company, Admatec, is set to release its first printer, the ADMAFLEX 130, onto the market this September just in time for TCT Show + Personalize where the company is set to exhibit n the 28-29 September 2016.
Bringing together more than 20 years of ceramic experience, Admatec is the result of a cooperation between Formatec Ceramics and Energy Research Centre the Netherlands (ECN). Admatec’s ADMADFLEX 2.0 industrial ceramic printing technology has been available to customers since 2013 at its facility in the Netherlands where it has undergone more than 5,000 hours of production.
This patented technology allows users to print with stable and easy-to-clean materials including zirconiumoxide, aluminiumoxide and fused silica. Excess material can also be recycled and re-used through its re-conditioning system, limiting waste and saving on material costs. Applications in the medical, dental, jewellery and even micro reactors have already been suggested by the company, which claims this machine is the most cost effective solution in its class available on the market today.
“This system will be able to play an essential role of developing 3D printing ceramics in many markets,” Michiel de Bruijcker, managing director of Admatec Europe BV, commented. “We are eager to team up with customers in a wide diversity of markets. Developing future solutions by proving solid business cases in their target markets.”
The ADMAFLEX 130 will be available for pre-orders this month and a limited series of printers will be sold at the reduced rate of 75,000 Euro each when shipment begins in September. The final RRP has not yet been disclosed.
