Following a record-breaking year which saw year-on-year revenue tripling to $15 million, open source 3D printing forerunner Aleph Objects, has announced new LulzBot 3D printer hardware, filament materials, updated software, and expanded distribution at CES 2016.
The company is upgrading its line of multi-material tool heads for its LulzBot TAZ 3D printers in the form of the new LulzBot TAZ Dual Extruder Tool Head v2 and the FlexyDually Tool Head v2 will be available in Q1 2016. Designed with its open source community in mind, these professional-grade tool heads use open 3mm filament and can heat up to 300 degrees Celsius.
In addition, the company's latest Cura LulzBot Edition software update boasts new features like pause during printing (for mid-print filament swaps) and tested print profiles for six new materials. Aleph Objects is also expanding its international operations by opening a new fulfilment centre in Australia in early 2016.

Aleph Objects will be joined by a host of partners at this year’s event, including filament developer, colorFabb which will be introducing nGen, an easy-to-print, next-generation material made with Eastman Amphora AM 3300.

Aleph Objects' well-known and renowned brand of LulzBot 3D printers and colorFabb’s new special filament are a perfect match.”
Proto-pasta will also be on hand to showcase its engineering-grade, environmentally friendly PLA materials; Proto-pasta Aromatic Coffee High Temp PLA and High Temp PLA. More material collaborations will be demonstrated by Chroma Strand Labs which will debut its INOVA-1800, a co-polyester filament made with Eastman Amphora AM 1800. All of these materials are soon to be available via the Lulzbot online store.
Finally, Red Hat, Inc., the world's leading Open Source software company will be doing live demos of Fedora, the company's Free/Open Source desktop GNU/Linux software distribution, with Cura LulzBot Edition.
