AMFG and LEO Lane are to combine their software capabilities in a bid to offer file security and IP protection solutions to users of additive manufacturing technology.
The two companies have formed a strategic partnership and hope to provide the industry with secure, end-to-end solutions to enable virtual inventories and on-demand production.
Through this alliance, AMFG’s MES system will be improved by LEO Lane’s security offerings, including IP protection, the security and real-time tracking of digital assets, and quality assurance. Meanwhile, Leo Lane’s software will be enhanced by AMFG’s production and post-processing scheduling features and file preparation tools.
AMFG and Leo Lane have sought to share some of their respective software features to better enable manufactures to manage their digital workflows, facilitating on-demand production efficiently.
“Security and IP protection are two of the main considerations for additive manufacturing today,” commented Keyvan Karimi, CEO of AMFG. “Customers want to be sure that all files and data are secure as they go about managing their AM operations. LEO Lane brings a wealth of experience, credibility and forward-thinking to AM security, and our partnership further enhances AMFG’s holistic approach to managing additive manufacturing workflows.”
“Securely automating the workflow is a must for serial production with AM,” added Lee-Bath Nelson, LEO Lane’s Co-Founder and VP Business. “Companies, such as our joint customer with AMFG, need an end-to-end solution to manage their AM process efficiently and securely. The combination of AMFG and Leo Lane provides just such a solution. We’re excited to partner with AMFG and deliver on the areas that matter most for companies: consistency, quality and quantity.”
