The BigRep Studio G2 is the fourth instalment in the company's hardware portfolio.
BigRep CEO, Stephan Beyer has left his role to take up a new consulting position as the German company adjusts its management structure.
His responsibilities will now be shared amongst Martin Back, BigRep’s Co-General Manager, Daniel Büning, the CIO, Frank Marangell, CBO, and Stefan Kaufmann, the company’s Head of R&D. The switch up marks the end of one phase of the company’s business development, which has culminated in a series of hardware launches in the last six months, and the start of the next.
Beyer has been at BigRep for four years, helping the company to build up a workforce of 90 employees, expanding into Boston and Singapore, and partnering with the likes of Bosch Rexroth, Etihad Airways and Ford. In that time, the company’s hardware portfolio has also increased fourfold with the introductions of the Pro, Edge, and Studio G2. He will now step back from his position as CEO and maintain his influence in an advisory role.
“I’m proud that we have advanced digital production, based on our reliable technology, to the benefit of our customers, while also establishing BigRep as a visionary thought-leader in additive manufacturing,” said Beyer. “This would not have been possible without the incredible commitment and the excellent skills of our employees. That’s why I would like to thank them in particular for the many years of good and trustful teamwork.”
“We would like to thank Stephan Beyer for his successful work and are looking forward to his support of the company by using his know-how and network,” added Dr. Christian Reitberger, Chairman of the BigRep Advisory Board.
