Conflux Technology
Conflux Technology, an Australian start-up concentrated on applying additive manufacturing (AM) in thermal components, has expanded its workforce after a recent investment by AM Ventures Holding GmbH.
The investment firm is a sister company of EOS, a leading 3D printing company based in Germany, and acknowledges the work its new partner has already done. By bringing in new personnel, Conflux is set to better meet its customers’ needs as it prepares for a busy 2018. These appointments address executive positions in Design Engineering, Research & Development, Business Development, and Finance/ Administration, as well as the final Board position of Independent Director.
With the backing of AM Ventures Holding, and now with more strength in depth, Conflux Technology has established a platform for further growth and greater support for its customers.
“We have managed to attract world class people to Conflux Technology,” commented Michael Fuller, Conflux Technology founder and CEO. “The breadth of skills and depth of experience in this launch team is both our foundation and scaffold for growth. I’m very humbled to work alongside professionals of this calibre and our customer/ partners are already reaping the benefits. The Board is complete, and Conflux Technology now has a rich blend of entrepreneurial and independent directors with domain expertise across our value chain.
“Conflux is a sharply focussed AM applications company. I’m thrilled that we are already solving complex thermal and fluid problems whilst reducing our customers’ technology risks and smoothing the adoption of additive manufacturing.”
Glenn Rees, with 20 years of motorsport engineering experience, fills the role of Head of Engineering; Kevin Hazlehurst, whose PhD was focussed on the adoption of AM laser melting technology for a medical application, joins as Head of research & Development; Ben Batagol, formerly of AM service bureau, Amaero, becomes Conflux’s new head of Business Development; and Sam Gascoigne, a Chartered Accountant, fills the role of Head of Finance and Administration, as well as assuming Company Secretary responsibilities.
Joining the Board and filling the role of Independent Director is Max Gillard, who spent 40 years at Toyota, most recently as President & CEO of Toyota Technical Centre Asia Pacific.
“I believe that Conflux Technology is a truly innovative company that has much to offer its customer and industry at large,” Gillard said. “The recently announced appointments will secure its foundation and future and ensure its success. I am very pleased to be appointed to the Board where I can share and utilise my experience gained as a Board Member and Development Engineer.”
