Leader in 3D portable measurement solutions Creaform has announced the launch of a fresh educational initiative geared towards researchers' needs, as well as those of school, college and university students and educators around the world.
The new Educational Packages target researchers and educator from various study fields and learning programmes including science and engineering, applies science, industrial styling, design, archaeology and natural science.
Each package has been compiled to meet the specific needs of the educational field. For example, the included five-year maintenance plan will guarantee that the unit remains in top working order at all times and access to future software releases. Furthermore, users can rely on the Creaform Technical Support services for five years as part of the plan.
Moreover, the packages feature significant discounts on Creaform technologies including 3D scanners and PCMM or optical coordinate measuring systems. Therefore, institutions participating in the new programme can equip their labs and teaching departments with multiple Creaform units for a fraction of their usual price.
François Leclerc, Product Manager of Education at Creaform, commented: "Since the introduction of the first Handyscan 3D scanners in 2005, the number of educational institutions using and teaching our 3D measurement technologies has been fast-growing.
"At the beginning of 2013, Creaform has committed to creating a new educational program that would meet the needs of the educational community more closely. This new program is also a way for us to democratise our technologies and make them accessible to the greatest number of students possible, so they can get trained on the latest and most advanced technologies to maximise their chances of a successful career."
