Rodri printer
Inside the Rodri 3D printer.
Create it REAL, a Danish R&D center specialising in 3D printing technologies, has announced partnerships with three new 3D printing manufacturers and a materials devoloper.
The organisation was founded in 2009 by Jeremy Pierre Gay, and in 2013 they launched a worldwide real-time processor dedicated to 3D printing. They are selling its platform to manufacturers and corporate end-users for ad-hoc projects.
The first 3D printer manufacturer is Rodri, a dutch company with a spindle driven printer designed for printing technical materials like PEEK, PEKK, Carbon etc. The second is Dood, a French manufacturer launching a high quality and robust desktop printer, and lastly RAST, a Bulgarian engineering company launching a large 3D printer. These printers have been chosen by Create it REAL because they are said to offer consistent print quality with low maintenance at the right price, but also because they are a good choice for companies who require the rapid prototyping and/or production of parts.
Jeremie explained: “We are very happy to see these fast-growing companies joining us and make the best out of our technology. This shows us there is a strong demand for high end electronics, easy to use slicer software and a need to speed up 3D printers. We share the same vision of the market, where end users should not be afraid of using 3D printing todevelop their own business. It should be simple, straightforward and reliable.”
As well as 3 new manufacturers, they are also announcing a partnership with KIMYA who are joining the team as part of a strategic partnership to integrate its filaments as standard in Create it REAL slicing software, REALvision. KIMYA, previously of Amor 3D, develop 3D printing materials such as OWA and KIMYA filaments.
Pierre-Antoine Pluvinage, KIMYA business development director commented: “We believe this partnership makes a lot of sense for final users: they will access to a wide range of complete packages, including 3D printers and software optimised for our materials. No need to mess around with the settings and the machine, they will get the best 3D printing experience, with high performance materials optimized for their usage, in a click of a button”.
In the next couple of weeks, the 3D printers will be available on all the different manufacturers websites, while the settings for KIMYA filaments will be available to all Create it REAL partners via online updates. For a preview of the printers, the Dood and Rodri 3D printers are currently being showcased during the 3D Print Congress Exhibition in Lyon, France from the 5-7 June.
