A project from CRP Group and Flying-Cam presents SARAH: Special Aerial Response Automatic Helicopter, an electric VTOL (Virtual Take Off and Landing) UAS (Unmanned Aerial System).
The Flying-Cam 3.0 SARAH provides unprecedented precision level aerial 3D imagery intelligence and is recognised as the most advanced technology available today. SARAH features 25 Kg TOW and 30 minutes flight time with a 5 Kg payload, superseding heavier and more expensive systems.
In order to facilitate faster manufacturing times and iteration generation, Flying-Cam turned to SLS technology with the held of CRP Group. Using Windform materials, CRP helped to manufacture the airframe structure, air guide cooling system, tail unit and main battery connection.
Windform materials have been the proprietary material for CRP Group’s motorsport applications allowing the company to develop new dedicated materials that provide originally, reliability and mechanical performance. The company’s US subsidiary, CRP USA, recently applied the material to produce key parts for the KySat-2 CubeSat which went into orbit as part of NASA’s Educational Launch of Nanosatellites IV mission.
SARAH was built using CRP Group's combination of SLS and Windform materials.
The Spanish Aerospace Research Centre FADA-CATEC has taken delivery of its first SARAH systems which are being used for traffic management and general aviation research and development projects in partnership with Boeing, EADS and Airbus Military.
Flying-Cam has been at the forefront of the development and application of rotary wing Light Unmanned Aerial System for the Motion Picture Industry, providing close-range aerial filming technology for movie giants such as Harry Potter, James Bond and Mission Impossible. Now the team has turned its attention to 3D aerial Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) for the law enforcement, defence, civil security, news and entertainment markets.
