EnvisionTEC has announced the release of The Perfactory Vida Hi-Res 3D printer, the additive manufacturing pioneer’s latest 3D printing solution for the dental market.
Making the announcement at the ADA 2015 America's Dental Meeting in Washington, DC, the machine will join EnvisionTEC's growing range of digital solutions for the dental sector and is recommended for the fabrication of dental restorations.
A complementary product to the Perfactory Vida, the Vida Hi-Res will offer the same low cost, easy to maintain and user friendly technology with the higher resolution recommended for precise restorations. The Vida Hi-Res will include a touchscreen and on-board computer to add to the ease of operation, making it an ideal solution for any size lab or dental practice ready to upgrade their practice to a digital workflow.
EnvisionTEC offers a full range of solutions including 3D printers and materials to help make dental labs and practices far more efficient by dramatically shortening delivery times, improving service levels and also reducing costs.
At the TCT Show + Personalize 2015 Conference, EnvisionTEC founder Al Siblani spoke about how labour costs in the dental industry have been essentially eliminated by the advent of 3D printers. He explained, “Three crowns can be done by hand by a certified dental technician that costs an average of 35 euros per hour, 30 crowns can be done per hour with a 3D printer with the same technician so all of a sudden your cost went from 10 euros per crown to about one euro per crown.” Watch the full conference talk for free here.
This week at the ADA 2015 Meeting in Booth 3615, EnvisionTEC will be showing the original Vida, which was introduced earlier in 2015 for orthodontic and dental applications, as well as their larger 3-Dent option for larger labs and dental practices.
The company will also exhibit at the upcoming formnext powered by TCT event in Frankfurt on 17-20th November along with key figures in the industrial 3D printing industry including 3D Systems, EOS, HP, Prodways, Realizer, Renishaw, Ricoh, SLM Solutions and Stratasys. Register here.
