EOS North America is to conduct a proof of concept trial with Link3D, implementing the software company’s system internally to improve the customer experience of its clients.
Link3D’s Additive Manufacturing Execution System (MES) can connect two sites digitally to allow the user to better visualise their additive manufacturing workflows from order submission through delivery. It helps to reduce turnaround times and enhance end-to-end transparency, and as a result with the partnership with EOS, will be tied into the company’s additive manufacturing solution in a bid to understanding how the technology can be harnessed in a digital manufacturing model. Amongst other things, EOS, who routinely performs benchmark studies for its customers, will time test Link3D’s Build Simulation software for quoting and costing.
The Link 3D Additive MES system enables order submitters to communicate directly with technicians and application engineers to discuss production requirements, production planning, costing, post-processing, quality inspection and delivery. It promises a more interactive and collaborative operation between client and supplier, and both Link3D and EOS are excited by the potential fruits of this cooperation.
“Link3D is humbled to have its Additive MES solution selected by EOS North America to power its metal benchmarking facilities,” commented Shane Fox, CEO, Link3D. “We are excited to help increase EOS North America’s operational efficiencies and have our technology integrated into their ecosystem to enable their customer experience.”
“We consistently strive to work with cutting edge organisations,” added Dr. Greg Hayes, Director of Applications, EOS North America. “This includes material, software and hardware solutions for the additive manufacturing industry. Link3D is one of our choices for software solutions.”
