ExOne is a total manufacturing solution facilitating the transition from conventional to additive manufacturing.
The ExOne Company, a global provider of 3D printing solutions, has announced that it has begun its move to newly completed European headquarters in Gersthofen, Germany.
The company is consolidating its five existing capacities in Augsburg into a new 150,700 square feet complex, which will house production, warehouse, service and research and development facilities in addition to a further 27,600 square foot office space.
Chairman and CEO Kent Rockwell, has been honoured as the facility will be named the S. Kent Rockwell 3D Printing Innovation Centre. Mr. Rockwell has been the leading executive of ExOne since his affiliated company purchased it in 2007, and guided the Company through its initial public offering in February 2013.
Rainer Hoechsmann, ExOne’s Chief Development Officer and General Manager of ExOne GmbH, said: "We are beginning to transition our activities, which include production, warehousing, a production service centre, an R&D lab, as well as our European headquarters into our new location, and we expect to have completed our move through November.
"We are proud to dedicate our state of the art facility as the ‘S. Kent Rockwell 3D Printing Innovation Centre’ in honour of the leadership and significant financial support that Kent Rockwell has made in ExOne and its innovations in 3D binder jetting technology."
ExOne enrolled GOLDBECK Süd GmbH, a provider of construction services for the design and construction of its new $20 million European headquarters. The move is expected to provide considerable growth to the company’s global reach.
