Farsoon Technologies, a Chinese additive manufacturing company, has announced the launch of the FS1000P 3D printing system which boasts the firm’s Continuous Additive Manufacturing Solution (CAMS) technology.
The FS1000P represents Farsoon’s first machine based on CAMS and is being brought to market as a solution for additive manufacturing’s transition into ‘true manufacturing’. CAMS is said to offer continuous production through vertical scalability and can be integrated into any industrial manufacturing facility, per Farsoon. Dr Xu Xiaoshu, Farsoon founder and chairman, commented: “As an industrial-focused AM company, Farsoon is committed to shifting the mindset of what additive manufacturing can become.”
With a 1000 x 500 x 500mm build volume, Farsoon is projecting the FS1000P to be the largest plastic powder bed system on the market. The system’s build chamber is also able to operate with temperatures reaching up to 220 degrees Celsius. It allows for the production of high performance part using materials like PA6, PA12 and TPU.
Moreover, thanks to its continuous batch production capability and fully digital multi laser and scanning features, high throughput, continuous production can be achieved. The system is being launched to address 3D printing’s evolution from rapid prototyping to series production tool, by removing down time in between builds, Farsoon is confident the FS1000P is a suitable platform for companies with an interest in Industry 4.0. It was built from the ground up, able to be installed as part of a modular system which will feature future modules to address automated powder handling, part breakout, and post processing.
Also compatible with metal materials, Farsoon has said it will release more information about its FS1000P system at formnext powered by TCT, and is aiming to have the first commercial machine ready to present at next year’s TCT Asia.
