FELIXprinters has expanded its portfolio of professional-grade desktop 3D printing systems with the launch of the FELIX Pro 3.
The Dutch company announced last year it was to shift its focus to delivering machines capable of addressing the requirements of more industrial users, and thus has introduced the Pro 3 and Pro 3 Touch.
These machines are said to boast quick set up, supplemented by automated motorised calibration of the print bed, and quick transition between print heads, thanks to a quick-swap print head solution and fast rotation of print heads in the dual head configuration. The print heads are also quick to heat up and cool down, while consistent extrusion works to ensure enhanced accuracy of printed objects.
The Pro 3 is powered by fused filament fabrication technology, and boasts a build volume of 235 x 244 x 235 mm. It supports PLA, PETG, ABS-X and PVA materials, any filament which melts under 275°C. Filament can be used from any material supplier. The Pro supports STL, Obj, and 3MF file formats.
"The Pro 3 has been developed to integrate seamlessly into industrial workflows, whether that is in an office, a workshop, lab or factory environment," commented Guillaume Feliksdal, founder and Director of FELIXprinters. "The priority was to deliver a 3D printer that produces optimised print results every time. This is what customers tell us is most frustrating for them in their day-to-day operations with 3D printing, and these are the issues we set out to address with the Pro 3. The feedback we are getting back from our beta testers is hugely impressive."
