ATOS Triple Scan
German manufacturer of optical measurement technologies, GOM, will present new milestones in optical 3D metrology at EuroMold 2014.
The company which specialises in measuring systems for product development and component testing, will present the ATOS ScanPort scanner, a desktop scanner for measuring and inspecting small components. The device functions with three motorised and three manual axis along with a Motion Replay feature to simplify the process of recurring measurement tasks so when identical or similar multiple parts are needed, measurement positions are played back.

The next reveal is the ATOS Triple Scan 16M, an industrial 3D scanner capable of catching two times 16 million measuring points per scan, designed for accurate quality control of medium sized components with high resolution requirements such as injection moulded parts or turbine blades. The scanner operates with Blue Light Technology resulting in greater accuracy regardless of surface texture or lighting. The scanner is also available with resolutions of 5 and 8 million pixels.
A new version of GOM’s measurement and evaluation software GOM Inspect Professional, will also be introduced. The new edition enables the tracking of movements and deviations in real time, allowing ATOS 3D scanners to trace single points as well as complete component geometries in space. Additional features for reverse engineering, tool manufacturing and analysis help speed up the manufacturing process for tool and mould making.
GOM will present these new developments at EuroMold 2014 in Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from 25th-28th November.
