WASP 2040 and WASP 2040 Turbo.
UK 3D printer distributor, Hawk 3D Proto, has signed a reseller partnership deal with Italian 3D printer manufacturer, WASP, to bring the Wasp Delta 2040 3D printer to the market in the UK and Ireland.
The WASP 2040 is the first delta style 3D printer within the Hawk 3D Proto portfolio and brings with it some distinct advantages. The 2040 boasts a 20 cm diameter build plate with a Z-axis that can print as high as 40 cm with a layer resolution of up to 50 microns. Constructed with an aluminium body and polycarbonate and an enclosed build chamber, the machine is both stylish and capable of producing precise and stable print results. This 3D printer is also reported by users to be a highly reliable and intuitive platform which can be used for a host of applications in a wide range of materials including PLA, ABS, PET, Nylon, Flex, Polystyrene and Laywood, courtesy of WASP’s open source development approach.
CEO & Founder of Hawk 3D Proto, Ben Hawksworth, commented: “I am delighted to be able to announce this relationship with WASP. I have been aware of the Wasp Delta 3D printers for some time and was able to meet with WASP at the 3D Printshow in Paris last year — I was very impressed with their company and their product offering. I believe that these printers will expand our offering in a wholly complementary way.”
Hawk 3D Proto will demonstrate to customers both the original 2040 model and the subsequent Turbo version, which can print with the same resolution and reliability at speeds up to 600 mm/s. The machines will be on display at the company’s dedicated 2500 square foot showroom and training facility in Yorkshire where full technical information and training is available for educational institutions, industrial organisations and individuals alike.
