Kreon Ace Arm
Kreon Technologies has launched its new 3D portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM), the Kreon Ace measuring arm.
The company says it is proud to announce the official launch of the new Kreon Ace, which is borne out of the merger between Kreon and Friulrobot, a manufacturer of CMMs.
The Kreon Ace is the product of the joining of technical teams' knowledge and experience, with the device covering a very high level of technology and material.
The arm is temperature regulated and can be used both in metrological departments or in the workshop. For probing applications, the CMM can be used without a power supply thanks to its integrated battery and wireless facility.
Current laser scanners from Kreon - including the Zephyr II and Solano - are integrated with the Kreon Ace arm.
Scanners and probes are plug-and-play and may be used with a range of application software such as Mertolog, Polyworks, PowerInspect, Capps and Rapidform.
Developments such as the Kreon Arm are exactly what the merger between Kreon Technologies and Friulrobot hoped to achieve.
When the deal was announced, Chief Executive Oficer at Kreon Technologies, Thierry Rebillard commented: "With the purchase of Friulrobot, Kreon Technologies becomes a new actor in the world of the 3D portable CMM manufacturers. This acquisition brings Kreon to the next level as manufacturer and provider of complete portable 3D scanning solutions."
