LulzBot announces 10 new 3D printing products.
LulzBot manufacturer, Aleph Objects has announced the next 10 products in its pipeline including software, tool heads, printer accessories, and filaments that aim to improve 3D printing functionality and user experience.
Released today, one of the first announcements is Cura LulzBot Edition which features better print quality than ever before with an improved user interface, better automatic support material generation and new slicing options. The software includes over 30 factory-tested print profiles for filament materials across a wide range of LulzBot 3D printers and tool heads.
New hardware includes the LulzBot TAZ Dual Extruder v3 Tool Head released yesterday which allows the use of dedicated support material, including soluble filament. The new lighter Dual Extruder v3 does not require nozzle levelling or calibration and features improved heat sink and part cooling. The toolhead is also compatible with a new water soluble support material, Polydissolve S1 Filament by PolyMaker, due for release in December.
Aleph has also announced a collection of products designed to increase up-time and simplify maintenance for LulzBot 3D printers. This includes the LulzBot Mini Modular Print Bed System which maintains the LulzBot Mini’s heated print bed and enables easy experimentation with after-market build surfaces. Likewise, the LulzBot TAZ Modular Print Bed System, to be released in December, brings similar benefits toe the LulzBot TAZ. Plus, the LulzBot Mini Graphical LCD Controller can be used to operate the latest-generation LulzBot Mini without needing a computer connection and enables printing from the included SD card.
Moreover, the LulzBot Mini Aerostruder Tool Head and LulzBot TAZ Aerostruder Tool Head feature the E3D Titan Aero Extruder and Hot End for printing both rigid and flexible filaments. In addition, the Nylon LulzBot 3D Printer Enclosure from GalaxG Design World claims to provide an affordable, lightweight solution to protect the LulzBot TAZ or Mini from dust and drafts. Finally, over on the materials side, the new Chroma Strand ABS Filament has been introduced to provide colour richness and consistency for production environments.
"Free, Libre, and Open Source development respects user freedom, drives better products, accelerates innovation, and strengthens user communities," Aleph Objects President Harris Kenny commented. ”With these new products, the LulzBot ecosystem offers users more evolved tools to make everything.”
