Materialise metal 3D printing
Materialise has announced the launch of a new metal 3D printing production services in Germany aimed at the aerospace, automotive and industrial manufacturing industries.
Beginning in late October, this new production line at Materialise’s Metal Competence Centre for software will be open to customers looking to manufacture functional parts and prototypes in titanium (TiAl6v4) and marks the Belgian additive manufacturing leader’s next step in becoming the most complete factory for 3D printing.
Materialise has been building its expertise in the metal AM sector through the development of cutting-edge software and build processors for leading metal OEMs. The company also recently announced the availability of Aluminium and the completion of an in-house metal printing project with the installation of a medical production line at its headquarters.

Every day, over 2,000 parts are produced and shipped to customers all over the globe. The metal production facility in Germany is Materialise’s fourth industrial production unit in Europe, next to the main factory in Belgium and those in Poland and Czech Republic. Materialise’s Metal Competence Centre will be led by the company’s Bremen office and Ingo Uckelmann, who brings a solid background in metal printing for dental applications.
