One of the largest distributors of electronic equipment in the US has caught the 3D printing bug.
WYNIT traditionally trade in the consumer electronics, photo, wide format printing, security and outdoor leisure and adventure industries but have recently acquired the rights to three top 3D printing brands.
As well as stocking the 3D printing pen, 3Doodler and the Dutch desktop 3D printers, Leapfrog Wynit have added a slightly more industrial standard printer to their ranks as they partner up with our Irish friends Mcor Technologies.
Mcor’s paper 3D printing technology, Selective Deposition Lamination, has consumable that WYNIT has more readily available than other 3D printers and the fact that it uses regular office paper may appeal to some of WYNIT’s more regular customers.
WYNIT will distribute Mcor 3D printers in strategic territories throughout the US and Canada, boosting Mcor’s reseller channel, 3D printer sales, customer relationships and business logistics across the region.
“We have a rich legacy in identifying and distributing high-demand technology,” said Geof Lewis, President and Chief Executive Officer of WYNIT. “We believe that Mcor’s low cost, full colour 3D printing solution is precisely what the market needs and will make a great addition to our product line.”
“We are very pleased to welcome WYNIT to the Mcor family,” said Dr. Conor MacCormack, co-founder and CEO of Mcor Technologies. “WYNIT will provide increased market coverage for Mcor in the US and Canada, making True color paper 3D printing more widely accessible and well supported in more regions.”
WYNIT joins a growing number of companies taking advantage of Mcor’s partner program. Mcor has seen phenomenal channel growth; “the number of partners increased by 227% in the past year; as a result, sales growth is about 308% for the same period,” added MacCormack. Mcor continues to seek channel partners worldwide and has very aggressive growth plans for 2014.
