Midwest Prototyping SLA and SLS specialists
In an exclusive ranking of the fastest growing private companies in the US, Midwest Prototyping has made the list for the third year running.
Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500|5000 list positioned Midwest Prototyping at 3724 for 2014 joining the likes of Yelp, Pandora, Dell, LinkedIn and Timberland.
Founded in 2001, Midwest Prototyping specialises in additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping and low volume production. The company’s portfolio spans across SLS, CNC machining urethane casting, stereolithography and full finishing services for prototypes and components. Based in Wisconsin, Midwest Prototyping has grown from housing just a single SLA machine to providing services for small business and Fortune 500 clients across the country.
“To be included on this list three consecutive years is a great honor and one I am proud of,” said Midwest Prototyping Founder, Steve Grundahl. “This is a testament to our staff and their willingness to learn, grow, and embrace new opportunities and challenges. The 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing industry is a very exciting place to be right now.”
This year’s list was apparently the most competitive field of companies with a combined revenue of $211 billion and 505,000 jobs generated over the past three years for the Inc. 5000 members.
Eric Schurenberg, President and Editor in Chief at Inc. said: “What surprises me, even though I know it is coming, is the sheer variety of the paths our entrepreneurs take to success, thematically reflecting how our economy has evolved.”
