Nano Dimension Technologies, a 3D printed electronics leader, is looking to expand its international reach by partnering with CAD MicroSolutions to distribute its 3D printing technology to Canada.
CAD MicroSolutions is a service provider and distributor of 3D technology with over 30 years’ experience. Nano Dimension is hoping by securing a deal with one of the North American country’s leading resellers in the market it can develop its commercial and service infrastructure, and begin selling its DragonFly 2020 3D printing platform to a Canadian customer base.
Moreover, the Israeli company recognises Canada as a large, vibrant, well-respected economy with strong research and development capabilities. A recent report claimed the Canadian electronics industry comprised C$11 billion in 2015, with others projecting growth to C$15bn by 2030. Boasting strengths in communications and radar, control and instrumentation, and increasingly in medical applications, Nano Dimension believes Canada has a lot of potential in agile hardware development tools, and its flagship 3D printing technology is a good fit for such a market. And via CAD MicroSolutions, they will have a channel into said market.
“CAD MicroSolutions has a track record of meeting the needs of the Canadian design automation and 3D printing communities,” said Simon Fried, Chief Business Officer of Nano Dimension. “We are delighted to collaborate with them as we introduce this technology.”
Darren Gornall, President of CAD MicroSolutions, added: [We] see great potential for this technology in the Canadian market. Faster circuit development cycles driven by the convergence of 3D printing and design automation is a significant capability for the design community.”
CAD MicroSolutions distributes 3D printing products to more than 3,000 customers. Its team is committed to helping its mechanical and electronic customers get good value for money. Now partnering with Nano Dimension, the DragonFly 2020 is set to be the among the latest products CAD MicroSolutions will distribute. The platform has been notably utilised by PHYTEC who last week revealed it had experienced significant reductions in time and cost thanks to the DragonFly 2020 machine.
