Theorem Solutions has announced the launch of the new Multi-CAD collaboration tool for V5/V6 and PTC Creo Parametric.
Multi-CAD is a plug in that transforms product life cycle management an design collaboration by enabling CATIA users to work interactively with PTC Creo Parametric data directly from the CATIA design environment.
Users working with data from different CAD or PLA systems will be familiar with the challenges of working with multiple forms. The data translation product provides a seamless two way exchange for users working on collaborative efforts as the tool ensures that all important structural information and engineering data is maintained.
The tool checks for errors in the geometry of the design and validates the data as it moves into CATIA. The interlinking of the data means the application can track changes and update the master model as developments are made.
The result is that collaboration processes across different platforms can be done much more easily without losing any important data or intellectual property. In the past CATIA users would have had to design files in context around assemblies from PTC Parametric users in order to use both platforms.
Theorem’s Multi-CAD solution can be run from within the V5 or V6 interface with the Multi-CAD CADverter for PTC Creo Parametric. The application can batch process precise data and manufacturing information which will be extremely beneficial to users working with large batches of information.
