3D printing materials company NinjaTek has announced the worldwide release of its latest high-performance filaments, Cheetah and Armadillo.
Originally launched at CES 2016 in January, these filaments are designed to address the needs of the industrial desktop user and are ideal for seals, plugs, covers and chemical resistant products.
Cheetah filament is the fastest and easiest to print flexible filament available on the market at speeds exceeding 60 mm/sec and is engineered for applications such as hinges, sleeves and snap-fit parts.
"The focus in developing this material was optimizing the user experience,” Wendy Booker, Vice President and General Manager. “As a result, our Cheetah material is not only easy to print, but it provides higher impact, toughness, and abrasion numbers than any other flexible material on the market.”
Its sister product, Armadillo, is a high performing rigid material, providing 90% higher abrasion resistance than nylon materials and a toughness rating 86 times greater than that of ABS. It is proposed as a good material choice for bridging, with virtually no warping issues. Armadillo is a highly resistant material that can withstand general wear and tear in components such as braces, fasteners, gears and protective covers.
