UK-based prototyping company, Ogle Models & Prototypes had expanded its 3D printing capacity with the installation of a second NEO800 from RPS.
Ogle says the new machine will allow the company to introduce a second clear material to its stereolithography service while also improving turnaround times for larger models and prototypes.
Ogle’s Managing Director Len Martin explained: “With the latest improvements in SLA technology including vastly improved materials with greater accuracy and durability, we firmly believe that, for us, the SLA process still offers the ultimate 3D printed prototype solution, which is why we have decided to further invest in the technology compared to the other 3D technologies which we continue to run in house.
“This process, combined with other in-house capabilities, means we can provide a service that allows for greater capacity, more speed and increased accuracy.”
RPS introduced the NEO800 back at TCT Show in 2016 promising high quality, detailed parts with a large print volume of 800 x 800 x 600 mm. The open system offers users the ability to print with a wide range of SLA materials backed by RPS’s own intuitive Titanium software.
David Storey, Director of RPS said: “We are delighted that another NEO800 has a home at Ogle. Ogle is a key player within the industry and it is fantastic to know that the NEO800 system will continue to contribute to their success by providing the highest quality stereolithography parts, prototypes and models for their customers. We wish Ogle every success in the future.”
The purchase is the latest success story for the UK-developed SLA system, which founders RPS announced earlier this month had also been installed within Czech Republic-based 3D printing service bureau One3D.
Visitors to TCT Show will be able to see learn more about the NEO800 on stand D40 from 24-26th September at NEC Birmingham. Register here for your free ticket.
