Harry Kleijnen
Additive Industries has announced that Harry Kleijnen, currently responsible for the Philips Healthcare team printing tungsten grids for its X-Ray systems, will join the young Eindhoven technology company on September 1st.
In his role as Manager Process & Application Development, Harry Kleijnen will be responsible for the processes and customer applications for the industrial metal additive manufacturing system MetalFAB1.

Additive Industries first arrived onto the additive manufacturing scene with an intriguing minimal display at last year’s Euromold featuring simply a big empty box with no machine or parts to be seen. The team announced the name of the machine back at Rapid in May along with details of how the machine is expected to be a complete industrial grade AM solution complete with automated build platform, material and post processing handling.
Jonas Wintermans, COO, added: “Since we are preparing the launch of our first system in Q4 of this year, we need to build our sales and support organisation. Harry will play a key role in this next phase of our company.”
Kleijnen joins Additive Industries ahead of the upcoming launch of the MetalFAB1 set to land in Q4 with the first machines expected to reach beta customers in Q1 2016. Having spent just under 14 years as the Manager Development Collimation Solutions overseeing Philips Healthcare’s 3D tungsten printing team, Kleijnen brings extensive knowledge of the Direct Metal Laser Sinter process and industrialisation for large volume production of 3D printed products.
