Prodways launch Aerospace Division
Prodways launch Aerospace Division
At formnext powered by tct, Prodways signalled its intent towards becoming one of additive manufacturing's biggest players. After launching a new series of laser sintering machines alongside Hunan Farsoon, the Groupe Gorgeé owned company has announced a division dedicated to one of the 3D printing industry's top verticals, aerospace.
The Prodways Group Aerospace Division offers a full range of additive manufacturing capabilities including design of tooling and embedded parts; manufacture of finished parts in both plastic and metal; and the development of machines and materials for all 3D printing technologies.
Another subsidiary of Groupe Gorgé, ECA Group, has been working in the aerospace sector for over 30 years in production, control and maintenance tooling and will form part of the Prodways Group Aerospace Division.

The aerospace division will also be able to call upon the French service bureau, Initial which the Prodways Group acquired back in March of this year. Initial boast some thirty AM machines including a dozen metal 3D printing machines and have long-standing customers in the aerospace industry.
This new division will be based at the ECA group’s premises within the European aeronautics hub in Toulouse. A showroom dedicated to the aerospace sector will be inaugurated later today, showcasing the knowledge and offering of Prodways Group’s new division. In particular, it will present certain tooling applications already in use in industrial operations at aeronautical manufacturing sites, and examples of embedded parts developed on test equipment and which are entering mass production.
With substantial partners onboard, a premiere location and a baying market the Prodways Group Aerospace Division seems timed to perfection and is another example of just how ambitious the French company is.
