Groupe Gorge subsidiary, Prodways will present its next generation ProMaker LD 3D printer series dedicated to the dental industry, at the International Dental Show 2017 this week.
IDS 2017, taking place in Cologne, Germany from 21st March to 25th March, showcases the latest technologies disrupting the dental industry. Prodways joins fellow 3D technology innovators Formlabs and EnvisionTEC in launching new products at the 2017 edition.
The development of Prodways’ new generation of 3D printers builds on the success of the company’s MOVINGLight technology, which has impressed leading dental players. MOVINGLight’s unique blend of precision and productivity on large manufacturing platforms has attracted manufacturers of dental aligners, major laboratories and dental production centres.
This new ProMaker LD series, made up of three machines, extends Prodways’ drive to offer the professional performance of MOVINGLight in a more compact, multi-functional format at an affordable price. Prodways’ commitment to delivering this technology is in a bid to ensure the needs of dental laboratories initiating their transition to a digital stream are met.
Incorporating the strengths of MOVINGLight, the ProMaker LD series combines a native resolution of 42µm per pixel and very high dimensional precision on all three axes. Also boasting high productivity through MOVINGLight’s moving DLP, it is possible to print up to 38 dental arches per hour at an optimal unit cost [on the ProMaker LD-45].
To adapt to an increasingly versatile dental industry, the ProMaker LD series offers a compact design, taking up less than 0.8m² of floor space, with interchangeable production platforms of several sizes – ranging from 165mm x 150mm to 450mm x 445mm, catering for all environments. The series also features vats of various heights to reduce the amount of resin required for each application, with changes of vats and printing medium taking only a few minutes. Additionally, the series also boasts a new, more user-friendly interface, and a built-in touch screen to control the production process.
Prodways’ next-gen ProMaker LD series comprises of three 3D printers. The ProMaker LD-10 and LD-20 have dimensions of 750 x 1080 x 1780 mm; a build platform of up to 300 x 445 x 200 mm; native resolution of 42µm; and layer thickness of 25 – 100 µm. The sole difference between the two machines is their respective production volume (variable depending on the size and shape of the parts, as well as working conditions and materials used): ProMaker LD-10 boasts a production volume of up to 20 arches per hour, while the LD-20 can produce up to 30 arches per hour. Meanwhile, the ProMaker LD-45 has dimensions of 900 x 1080 x 1780 mm; a build platform of up to 450 x 445 x 200 mm; a native resolution of 42µm; a layer thickness of 25 – 100 µm; but has a production volume of up to 38 arches per hour.
Prodways will present its new dental 3D printing technology at stand L029 in Hall 4.2 if IDS 2017.
