Prototype Projects
Royston-based industrial prototyping experts Prototype Projects has launched into 2013 with a complete re-brand that underlines the company’s position as a technically advanced and highly skilled engineering business.
The new corporate look includes a new logo, website and corporate identity and is part of a wider investment in new technology, marketing and skills following a year of solid growth in UK and European sales.
Bucking the trend of manufacturing gloom in many parts of the UK, Prototype Projects is also announcing plans to invest over £190,000 in new CNC machining centres and new 3D printing systems to manufacture prototype parts in a range of metallic and plastic materials. The company has experienced strong growth in demand from clients in the automotive and medical device sectors.
Justin Pringle, Managing Director of Prototype Projects, says: “As well as these investments to start 2013, we will also be announcing further capital investments later in the year which will boost our capabilities and capacity in 3D Printing. We’ll also be launching a recruitment drive to hire experienced machine operators as well as new apprentice staff.
“We see investing in our working capital, training, skills and marketing as absolutely vital to our continued success in the UK and Europe.
“The UK continues to play a strong role globally in product design, and that’s what is feeding the demand for our services.
“I am delighted that Prototype Projects is a real success story and we’re happy to be flying the flag for British design and manufacturing.”
