Rapid Manufacturing Bureau Service
Following twenty years of experience distributing Stratasys systems in the additive manufacturing industry throughout the UK & Ireland, Laser Lines Ltd is now offering their customers a bureau service for rapid prototyped and rapid manufactured parts using their market leading FDM (fused deposition modelling) technology.
Laser Lines Ltd has fifteen in-house systems building in functional engineering grade thermoplastic materials such as ABS, PC-ABS and polycarbonate. Medical applications are also possible using ABSi and PC-ISO. Parts can also be built in Ultem 9085 which is a high performance flight approved thermoplastic and PPSF a high temperature and chemically resistant thermoplastic. All of these materials are available up to a size of 914 x 610 x 914 mm which is currently the largest commercially available build envelope.
With a focus not only on concept and form, fit and function models, Laser Lines Ltd specialise in offering rapid manufacturing solutions for low volume production parts typically for quantities of 100 or less, eliminating the need for expensive mould tools that have a long lead time. The materials are also best suited to manufacturing tools such as jig, fixture and work holding applications offering a cost effective and rapid turnaround of three to four days compared to the weeks and months of a traditionally manufactured component. All Stratasys’ materials are batch traceable, currently the only additive manufacturing technology that can offer this. This enables Laser Lines to provide customers with inspection reports and Certificate of Conformity for all rapid manufactured parts if required.
To utilise the bureau service please email your .igs or .stl files to parts@laserlines.co.uk and you will be sent a quotation the same day, says the company.
