Renishaw Taiwan new office
Renishaw managers, Government officials and Taiwanese industry representatives cut the ribbon at the grand opening of their new Taiwan facility
Renishaw’s Taiwan subsidiary have moved to a significantly larger facility within the Taichung City Precision Machinery Innovation Technology Park.
The grand opening officially took place on October 5th 2016 with senior Renishaw managers, Government officials and Taiwanese industry representatives present.
Covering 1,100 square metres, the new office includes product showrooms, training facilities and live demonstration areas, allows the precision engineering company to offer an enhanced commercial and technical support to customers.
Although the majority of Renishaw’s research, development and manufacturing within the UK, the group currently has more than 70 offices in 35 countries. Their newest office represents their growth in East Asia.
While Renishaw’s association with Taiwan begun more than 25 years ago, their direct presence within the country commenced in 2000. Mr Chobby Lai, Country Manager of Renishaw Taiwan Inc said the opening of the new office represents their continuing commitment to the market.
He continued: “The new facility enables us to demonstrate our full range of market leading industrial metrology products and it is also testimony to our strong commitment to offer a high level of service and support to our end users, OEM customers, distributors and partners, as we aim to help raise efficiency and product quality for local manufacturers.”
Eight years after their official presence within Taiwan, and 25 years after the company’s precision measurement technology was introduced to the market by its long-term Taiwanese distributors, MTC and Usync, Renishaw established a subsidiary in the country.
Renishaw is also actively promoting and sharing its advanced metal Additive Manufacturing technology in Taiwan, as well as its full range of market leading industrial metrology products including sensors for CMMs and CNC machine tools and calibration systems.
